Epic RV Trip -- Nebraska

**FRI 5/10. DRIVE 216 miles to Indian Caves State Park, Nebraska.  
As of today we have added 6 states to our sticker map on the MH.  We are staying at a state park with NO internet at our campsite (*gasp!).  We sent a few frantic emails on the drive in to turn in the girls' schoolwork for the week before losing Verizon coverage, and we intend to enjoy being disconnected.  The nature sounds are awesome.  Constant birds chirping in a canopy of bright green trees surrounding us.  We found a butterfly--2 actually stuck together--the girls tried to rescue.  So many horses and farms around.  The ill raccoon we stayed clear of.  We are experiencing headaches that we are attributing to constant climate and elevation changes; this is such a beautiful place that we deal with it and enjoy where we are.

**SAT 5/11.  Day off!
We gave ourselves permission to not think about school or work for the entire day--so liberating!  Our only tasks were to figure out where to go when we check out tomorrow and enjoy the family time enjoying nature here.  In order to update our facebook check-in and call the next campground, we lingered at the top of the hill on our way to a trail hike while we had a couple bars of cell coverage.  We enjoyed our almost 2 mile trail hike down to the river and back.  The kids even asked for more hikes on this trip (*love!).

We are enjoying our freedom to roam and even though it is hard not having planning all our stays in advance, it is working out well so far.  We do know some of our "must-see" locations and roughly what direction we will head as to not zig-zag across the states any more than necessary.  Everyone is surprised at how we are not all planned out ahead of time ... yes, we have a tentative direction, but still going day by day.
