We prepped the night before so we could get an early move on. We were on the highway at 7am with all three kids still asleep in bed.
The Civil Rights museum at MLK's assassination spot in Memphis Tenn. was awesome.
It seems strange to me that my entire life experience is where whites & blacks are *equal* but yet the hundred years span before was a constant was a battle for those rights. And yet we still struggle with treating people right, especially when they seem different from us.
Memphis is also home to Graceland. so we listened to Elvis music on Pandora on the drive. We didn't take the tour there, but wanted the kids to know who he was as a part of American cultural history.
