It's hard to believe we actually have a green backyard again... after having dirt back there for a long 11 months! It wasn't supposed to take so long, but that's another story. Once we put the order in for sod this week I started getting really excited--actually more-so because I'm tired of cleaning the dust and mud in our house. I can't wait to use it and see the kids run around on it. We have the play set erected too and the neighborhood kids are already itching to play over here.
For as big of a job as laying sod was (2400 sq ft, 5 pallets), it actually got done pretty quickly because we had the awesome help of our family. My folks, Mike & Katherine, and Bernie all worked hard, so THANK YOU!!! And also to Susan who took Addisyn to an Easter egg hunt which got her out of our way. When Addisyn came back she took her baby doll stroller for a walk on the lawn and you can see both sisters enjoying the new grass in the picture. Piper slept most of the time--but not in her crib mind you--she had to be outside with us....but that's okay, she was a good girl once she was fed and left to enjoy the fresh air.
Spring Break started this weekend, so I'll probably be using my time to do some spring cleaning--yardwork and getting all the dust out of the sunroom and house now that it won't be so dirty around here.

It looks great, can't wait to see the finished product next weekend!!
Yay for you! The yard looks really great and we'll have to stop by and see it.
You think it's bad to have dirt on your lawn for a long time. Think about us here in NH, having 1-2 feet of nonstop snow on our lawn for the past 3 months
