Hand- and Foot-prints

Yesterday, Chris wanted to get the concrete edging around our patio before today's rain. 6 hours and 3 or 4 trips to Home Depot later, it got done (not counting the 3 hours to assemble the concrete mixer the night before). His dad came to help (thank goodness for the help!) and his mom watched the girls for a couple hours (again, thank goodness for the help!).

Addisyn and Piper got their hands and feet dirty too--we put their prints in the concrete. Addisyn thought it was kind of cool smushing her toes and fingers in the concrete, but Piper protested loudly. For Piper, we got fist prints instead of hand prints--we opened her hand up, but she clenched, grabbing a fist-full of rocky concrete instead. Grandma Susan documented the fun--credits to her for the great pictures.
