**MON - FRI June 24-28 Chris residency
Our trip travels were coordinated around this week; when Chris was accepted into the PhD program and when he got the schedule a few years ago, we were determined to make our trip work even though it was going to be right in the middle of it.
This week Chris is at the American College for his last residency of his PhD program. He took two classes: ethics and coding for statistics. There are only four people left in his cohort. They work together and help support each other even though they come from different career backgrounds and different parts of the country. They "talk" mostly by group chat (through an app called "GroupMe") so it was nice to see everyone in person again.

This residency took more endurance than the previous two. Chris had to prepare for the week with advance reading assignments, then spend the week all day in class and all evening discussing with his cohort or working all night till he can't think straight anymore. Now all that's left, is to finish the impossible coding task for this class, write a huge paper, then do an entire dissertation... He wants to be done next year, and will take that long to do it too.
