Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas! This year was fun with two littl'ins in the house. We had two full days of celebration with food, family, and gifts.

We did Christmas Eve at Aunt Stacy and Uncle Jerry's house. Addisyn enjoyed a "yummy cookie" and said Justin's name for the first time. Piper tried to eat her first Christmas gift.

That night we put the cookies Addisyn and Piper decorated out for Santa. In the morning, Addisyn had quite the perplexed look on her face as she studied the plate, empty except for a few crumbs. "Did Santa eat the cookies you left for him?" "yeah."

The girls enjoyed finding surprises in their stockings. Santa stuffed them with books, sippy cups, tooth brushes, and a slinky.






Addisyn and Piper gave each other gifts. Addisyn wrapped a gift for Piper and doesn't know how to keep a secret, telling us and Piper about the "baby" before it was ever unwrapped.
She then enjoyed showing Piper how to take care of her baby. Piper gave Addisyn a "Little People" farm set and had fun playing with sister and daddy.

We spent the afternoon at Chris' folks house. It took the entire afternoon to open all the gifts, especially since we had leftovers from the night before that we didn't get to before bedtime. I thought it was funny that one of Addisyn's favorite toys was the Mickey Mouse dish set, that is, until she got a BIKE! Uncle Jerry put it together for us and she rode it all around the house. She learned to say "bike" and Uncle "Mike" that night.
