Dr. Appt Stats from today:

Ht: 25 1/2 inches (25-50%)
HC: 16 1/2 inches (25%)
The doctor said she looked good and was alert and strong. Yay Piper!
She got 5 immunizations which hurt at the needle prick, but she settled down quickly and has been a doll since (so far--we'll see what happens when the baby ibuprofen wears off!).
Piper's balance is improving daily and she is very good at sitting now. Her reach makes playing with her more fun and interactive. She reaches for toys, hair, my nose, her cereal dish... whatever interesting things are within her grasp. Even on tummy time she reaches out--in fact she scooched a few inches forward yesterday pushing her little toes in the carpet behind her. She still can't quite roll from back to tummy, but she was trying SO hard today, burying her face in the blanket in her effort! That darn shoulder is the only thing stopping her; she can do it 90% and all the way with a little nudge. Today's picture shows her in a mild attempt to roll over and her latest favorite thing to do with her hands. The last couple days I frequently find her thumb or fingers in her mouth. She does not discriminate between hands or which fingers, anything she gets in there she is content with. Perhaps this is a sign of teething. When her hands aren't in her mouth she is cooing and making all those wonderful baby talk sounds.
