Potty Party, Dance Party

Potty Party: Piper peed in the little potty during a "potty party" (a potty party is when one kid sits on the toilet and another on the little trainer potty at the same time). She knows where pee-pee comes from (she touches her girl parts!) but doesn't know how to control it yet--it was luck. Then Addisyn whined b/c Piper flushed Addisyn's poop and she wanted to do it herself...flushing Piper's pee as an alternative just wasn't good enough! (We had a discussion about sometimes things don't always happen just the way we want them to.)

Dancing Party: Addisyn is doing well in her dance class and Piper is loving it too, even if she is a bit jealous of her big sis. Addisyn likes dressing up in her leotard and tights. During class Addisyn kind of wanders around and watches the teacher and then joins in when she feels like it. Piper watches through the window, tapping her feet, kicking, and doing "open - shut" jumping. We try to practice a bit during the week between classes, so she puts on her tap shoes and lets Piper put on the ballet shoes and they get silly on the tile entryway.

Eating Soap: Want to know what happens when a toddler eats liquid hand soap? I caught Piper walking around with the spout of the Dora foaming hand soap in her mouth. Too bad it wasn't something fun like bubbles... her tummy rejected it...4x. Piper was fine afterward--I gave her some water to drink and asked "do you feel better now?" and she gave me her cute "uh-HUH." Addisyn was more bothered by the 5 drops of splash she got on her left foot than Piper was by the whole thing! Luckily this occurred on the kitchen floor rather than the carpet and the girls stayed out while I cleaned up, so it wasn't too bad.
