"Happy Birthday to Meeeee" -- Addisyn's 3rd

Last Friday we celebrated the last day of Addisyn being 2 at the "Happiest Place on Earth". She wanted to go see Mickey Mouse first--look at that picture...she hugged mommy and got as far away from him as she could! She didn't even want to be in the same room as him! At least by the time we got to Minnie later that afternoon she wasn't as petrified, but still wouldn't touch her. It was a great 11 hour day; the lines were short and Addisyn got over her fear of rides. She had fun on Dumbo, rocket ships, and teacups! We were bummed they closed some FantasyLand rides at 8pm, but we were winding down at that point anyway and did the teacups again for something to do before fireworks. By 8:45pm, Addisyn told us she wanted to go and was either covering her eyes or ears for the majority of the fireworks, and it was sleepy Piper who watched and pointed them out for us. We got the girls in jammies in the parking lot and 3 girls slept while daddy chauffeured us home.

Saturday we had birthday brunch on her actual birthday 9-11. Addisyn was ecstatic about the fantastic Mickey Mouse cake that Auntie Stacy made. She put the candles in herself and requested his mouth for her piece (which she ate the frosting off of). She got some great presents, and enjoyed unwrapping them and wearing the ribbons and bows.

By bedtime her eyes were bloodshot pink because she was soooo tired.

Sunday morning Addisyn helped herself to the leftover cake on the kitchen counter for breakfast. That's okay, she mostly "cut" (*crushed*) it with the plastic fork and just ate some crumbs and frosting--so I could throw the rest out and not eat it like I would've done myself!

Sunday was also a big day that we talked up for a long time--3 year olds are big girls and don't use pacifiers. After waking up that morning, she got to choose a baby to give her pacifier to. She wrapped it up in tissue paper herself and put it in a gift bag. She cried at nap and bedtime and asked for a pacifier, but that was it. She only briefly mentioned it one other time this week, and never asked for one of Piper's either, so YAY!!!! That wasn't bad at all! And, her chin rash appears to be getting better now too.

Stats: At 3 years old, Addisyn is 29 lbs and 36 3/4" tall.
Addisyn is a proud, cute, smart and skilled 3 year old. I'll tell you more about this later, but she also started Preschool today and had a great time!
