Legs of a drunken sailor
At 13 months, Piper figured out walking. Something "clicked" for her on Thursday afternoon, and Piper realized that she can walk without holding on to anything. She gets a kick out of it and can now walk across a room. She is even turning corners without falling down. It's fun to watch her get excited about her new skill, and its funny to see her knees lift at a 45 degree angle and her wobble around on each step too.

I also let Piper play with a regular cup this weekend. All in fun of course, but I figure we can start introducing it. I put about 1/8" of water in it at a time. She was actually getting a lot of it in her mouth and the high chair tray wasn't very wet, but her shirt managed to get soaked under the bib. You can see from the picture that she enjoyed trying it out.
Someone commented to me earlier this month that because she didn't care to walk, maybe Piper is cautious. Not at all. It wasn't caution keeping her from walking, just motivation. Now she sees how fun it is and it's a whole new world for her now. Piper loves trying new things and isn't afraid of climbing on and over all sorts of stuff. She would have crawled right into the tide pool today if I didn't grab hold of her!

Mommy looks like she has her hands full with those two cutie pie girls! Did Addisyn ask for SOAP to play with in the water. She loves soaping up her hands and letting the water run.
It was fun having them for your Valentine, just wore me out (*smile*). They were really good in Church, all things considered.
so now maybe it's safe for piper to come back to my house now that she's walking ;)
