Notice anything different about this picture? Daddy "fixed the bed" and Addisyn is now in her "big girl" bed! She likes it, and likes to get in and out by herself. When I forget and set her directly in, I have to allow her out so she can get back in herself. We had a discussion about not getting out until mommy and daddy open the door and come get her in the morning, and she was good the first two nights in a row. (We'll see if this is for good or just a "honeymoon" period.)She hasn't fallen out yet, and in fact, tends to stay up at the top half with the rail. She still moves around in her sleep and we found her sideways with her feet on the wall through the back rails again, but as long as she doesn't fall out, we don't care! We did put a diaper box in front of it as a precaution for now.
She was fine with the crib, but at some point she'll need to get to the bathroom on her own, so that is a big reason why we went ahead and converted it to the toddler bed. We moved the knives and scissors way up high and Chris also installed a security lock at the top of the sliding doors and a knob cover on the front door.

Sounds like you are grandma proofing your house. Is Chris doing this to keep the MIL out?
