Addisyn & Chris

The first two pictures are from this afternoon at Santee Lakes--Addisyn going down the slide on her tummy, and throwing crackers to the ducks.

Addisyn turned 23 months this week. She can whine and stomp her feet pretty well, but also does plenty to make us laugh.

Addisyn LOVES her baby doll lately. I wasn't surprised when she got upset at a friend pushing her baby in the doll stroller, as that was just a matter of time, but we can't go out the door without Baby lately. Baby goes with us on stroller walks and on shopping trips. Last week I had to tell her Baby didn't have a ticket to Sea World so she (baby) had to stay in the car and wait for us. Baby naps with Addisyn, sits at the table with an empty bowl of imaginary food, gets her diaper checked and changed (Addisyn pinches the doll's crotch and tells me "uh huh" if I ask if it's wet), and is told to "sit baby sit, sit baby sit" all the time.

Words are still coming to her little by little. Yesterday she was working on going from "sis" to "sis-ah".

The girls take baths together now and Addisyn likes to wash Piper--pouring water on her head or putting the sponge on her tummy or legs. Piper loves the water, so it works out.

Addisyn likes to make sure Piper has a baby to play with too (see picture in the ex-baby tub).

Video--Addisyn learned a new body part: nostrils.

Chris is recovering like a champ from his ankle surgery. When she first saw him, Addisyn just stared at him with her big eyes--she was initially scared of the bandaged leg and crutches and took half a day to be okay with them.

Chris was happy to be home quickly and is recovering better than expected. He was happy to hold his girls.

He has to keep his leg elevated, so after two days of DVR and movies, he got his laptop and made good use of his time cleaning out email and even completed his online sexual harassment training.

Gotta go... to bring Chris a bowl of ice cream--can't carry that with crutches.
