Happy Mother's Day

While looking at this picture of Addisyn with the light on her, I was inspired to blog about angels--and what better timing than for Mother's Day. So then I had to take a similar picture of Piper with the light on her head.

Holidays are an opportunity to reflect on the occasion, so here are my thoughts for Mother's day...

Thinking how these little miracles are my baby angels, I found a fitting poem that touched my heart:

Babies are Angels that fly to the earth,
their wings disappear at the time of their birth
one look in their eyes and we're never the same
They're part of us now and that part has a name
That part is your heart and a bond that won't sever
our Babies are Angels, we love them forever

What I'm enjoying about being a mommy right now:*

• "hi ah kai"s and "aye een"s (Addisyn saying butterfly and airplane)
• making Piper giggle
• swinging with Addisyn or Piper in my lap
• savoring the few nights Piper sleeps more than 4 or 5 hours at a stretch
• taking the girls to grandma and grandpa's house
• being married to a good daddy
