Marissa 7th Birthday

Marissa turned 7!  I tried doing her hair in a "7" shape.

Marissa got to go to Disneyland as a gift from Grandma Joyce and Papa Dave.  They went on Tuesday the day before her birthday with Aunt Stacy & Uncle Jerry, and Aunt Marcy & Cousin Annabelle.  She loved all the rides, going upside down, and the loop-d-loop.  She promised to be able to wake up on her birthday morning with a good attitude after a long full day out!

She did wake up happy and kept her promise.  She got to open the "cheese mat" gift that morning and got to use it for her party that afternoon.  She delivered treats to school and then had a party to "flip" over that afternoon!  We squeezed the gymnastics themed party into our calendar after school on her real bday, Wednesday 2:30-4:30.  We used the gym equipment in our house to do skills (made sure to go over safety rules first!).  Piper helped them do skills with the trampoline, mats, and bar.  They had wheelbarrow races for arm strength, Twister game for flexibility.  They made up their own obstacle course.

Marissa wanted rice crispy treats and brownies for "cake".  She wanted to open gifts with her friends and they loved being right on top of her for it.

Stats:
-Height: 4' even (even if she had to put napkins in her shoes at D-land for the 48" ride)
-Weight 45lbs
Growth of 2.75" puts her at the 53% height percentile, and 4 lb gain puts her at 23% weight percentile.

We really enjoy Marissa's personality and spunk.  Although she does need to work on follow-through... she forgets very quickly what she is supposed to be doing, and as a result is not earning much chores money.

Marissa looks forward to an outing at the movies with Aunt Marcy for her gift--they are going to see Frozen II next Monday.
