Piper & Daddy Sacramento Trip

This trip is Piper's first time on a plane alone.  She was very jealous of Addisyn's trip last year and wanted to do the same thing, but (aside from the fact that we don't believe everything must be equal) Chris didn't have any business trips to DC planned but did have business in Oakland, so he and Piper planned a trip to our state capital.

I made love notes with little wrapped gifts for her to open on the plane and at the hotel similar to what I did for Addisyn.  They had affirmations and clues to the gift, and were marked so she'd know when to open each one.  She got a coloring book and novel to pass the time, lollipops for the descent, and red vines to share with daddy.  The flight passed quickly and when she saw Chris outside the jetway landing in Sacramento, she ran to her daddy for big hugs.

The HOTEL was a huge part of the experience for Piper.  She liked running laps around the hotel Embassy Suites by herself, eating in the hotel restaurant, swimming in the hotel pool every day, understanding the room and hotel layout, and sitting in the window seat with the stuffed animal her daddy bought her so she could cuddle it during the trip.

On Friday, they had a private tour of the Capitol and got to walk on the senate floor.  Chris had some sort of connection for a private VIP tour.

They also visited the train museum and attended a home game for the Sacramento Kings basketball team, where she was just as happy to share cotton candy with dad as she was to meet the cheerleaders.
