Our fun-loving girl enjoyed her party over the weekend, and on her actual birthday, after celebrating at preschool, went ice skating with Aunt Marcy and ate a birthday "Pizookie" all to herself at BJ's at dinner. Aunt Stacy made a great-looking and tasty ladybug cake for the party.

Stats: at age 4, Piper is 40.25" tall and 36 lbs (that's about 60th %ile for both). She grew 2.5" this year, and gained 4 lbs.
Her "curley toes" are cute and do not bother her, so the pediatric orthopedic doctor said they are harmless and to leave them be.
Piper's personality is one of great focus and joy. She works hard and plays hard. She loves to sing, frequently singing a medley of one song morphing into another, or singing along with the radio and figuring out the words as she goes. Piper loves learning and concentrates when trying new things. She will also be so focused on what she is playing with, that I wonder if she even hears me when I tell her she has to stop (she inherited my "selective hearing"). She has so much energy and gets very eager and excited about many things. But she'll also be very dramatic; she is the one with the big open mouthed "NO!!!" when she doesn't get her way.
She is responsible, taking her dishes to the kitchen after meals without reminders, and frequently getting dressed by herself. She just figured out zipping her jacket all by herself. She can also click her buckles on her carseat harness all by herself now too.
While naptime ended a year ago, she still gets exhausted by the end of the day and often falls alseep in the car if we come home after 6 or 7 pm.
