Addisyn and Piper were in the gift giving spirit this year. The week leading up to Christmas day, they would find objects around the house, wrap them, and give them to family members. They were very thoughtful in selecting each gift, such as a daddy cup for Chris, a pair of my socks and a tissue box for me (I was sick), and a stuffed animal for Marissa.
We took them to see Santa on Christmas Eve morning and Addisyn and Piper asked Santa for what they wanted.
We celebrated on Christmas Eve at Stacy & Jerry's house and and to Mike & Katherine's house on Christmas Day.
Addisyn and Piper loved handing out gifts and helping us open them.
The gifts that seemed most immediately popular were scooter cars, rain boots, RC puppies, and voice recorded story books.
Santa came. We had moved the TV out of the fireplace last month and the girls told us we could not have a fire on Christmas Eve. They left cookies and milk, but decided no on carrots..."the reindeer can get carrots at somebody else's house." On Christmas morning, the girls were up by 7am, checking out their stockings. Chris and I stayed in bed, so Piper ran down the hallway declaring "I have something exciting to tell you...look..." and name an item in her stocking, then repeated this several times, running up and down the hallway each time to tell us another exciting item discovered in her stocking from Santa. It was pretty hilarious.
We attempted a cousins picture but someone would cry, look away, or Jacob would run away. ;-)
Here are pictures from our Christmas card / Birth announcement which read: "Hello Marissa... Goodbye Silent Nights" (Thank you David Cavanaugh for coming over, taking pictures, and getting them to me so quickly.)
And this is just a cute picture of the big sisters showing their Christmas love--

I love seeing the girls with Santa. They are all dressed in fancy new dresses and their cowgirl boots. The boots cracked me up.
