On our 17th Anniversary weekend, Chris went Jeeping with the boys Saturday night. I'm so glad he went, it was good for his soul to hang out with friends. They were naturally socially distanced in their own Jeeps. The group of guys already had the trip planned so even though the date wasn't optimal, Chris promised to be back in time for anniversary time.
It is now Week 7 of Quarantine, and we are opening our "Quarantine circle" which means grandparents are in, in small doses, so we got a quick outing with just the two of us.
Grandma Joyce came to watch the kids swim while C&K went out for a dinner picnic on our anniversary. We picked up Italian from Nicolosi's and set up our chairs and table for a picnic at Aztec park. Parks have just reopened for family use (not group use yet).
Later mid-May, Chris & Karen took a belated anniversary getaway to Borrego and the kids got sleepovers at the grands. We had to get our temperature taken and wear masks outside, but we got our own private jacuzzi, and it was good socializing with other adults at the pool.
We had to watch the battery on the Tesla to make sure we could get home, there was no outlet at the casita we stayed in to charge it. We had just enough battery to stop at Dudley's bread on the way home (and use my 1st public potty in 2 months), and I took Chris on a hilarious detour to a winery (on dirt road, ha!) on way home.
