In January, we went to Temecula for a wine tasting weekend. This was Chris' Christmas gift to me. Chris calculated the value of all the barrels of wine in the barrel room (wow!), and I was in charge of getting a romantic picture of the two of us.
In February, we flew to Scottsdale, AZ for his company's annual awards dinner. Chris won the top financial planner award. It was formal attire, and after enjoying dinner and dancing (mostly girls dancing and guys watching), Chris doubled his money on the casino floor. The company covered his costs, and the winnings paid for mine, hooray!
