Despite being days or weeks within the day, I couldn't bring myself to say out loud my daughter is four years old until her actual birthday. We've been parents for four years now!
Stats: At 4 years old, Addisyn is 39.5" tall and 35 lbs.
Wow, she has grown a lot recently, and thankfully the growing pains in her leg are becoming less frequent. She has grown 2.75" and 6 lbs this year, of that
1.25" and 3 lbs was growth from just this summer (last 3 months)!
Princess Party:
Addisyn was been looking forward to her princess party for a couple months when I started planning it. She would raid the boxes of party supplies (plates/tulle/favors...) and play with them. She got some princess dresses as birthday gifts the night before and wore about seven different dresses on her birthday. Before the party started, someone called to confirm it was a dress-up party; Chris had the phone and I called out "princess" so he could relay the info, then Addisyn replies, "I'm right here!" That gave us a good laugh!
We lucked out on perfect weather for our backyard party (considering we had everything from rain to 100+ degrees and a massive power outage in the last 2 weeks). Aunt Stacy made an absolutely fabulous princess cake (and Chris only singed her hair a little when lighting the candles)! Addisyn was wonderful opening gifts, with great hugs and thank you's to everyone after each one.
The kids played "Kiss the Frog."
Gifts and hugs.
Being Four:
Addisyn is expected to put on her seat belt primarily by herself now because "that's what four-year olds do."
Addisyn adapted to 4-year-old preschool well, not even crying on the first day.
Addisyn and I played her first board game, Candyland, which was a great birthday gift (she won, twice).
Awwww.

Birthday wishes to Addisyn - we saw the balloons in front of the house and knew it was a special day!
