Marissa is so proud to go turn in her Kindergarten registration packet. She loves reading, or memorizing books... I can't tell if she is reading or reciting sometimes.
Addisyn's last Fies --
The baby chicks went on a road trip with us to Las Vegas for Addisyn's dance competition. It was pretty hilarious -- the cage sat on the bed (over a towel) while driving and the kids took turns laying in back with them to keep an eye on them; we took the water dish out during the ride so it wouldn't spill so the kids made sure they got water at every stop. At camp, we set them up in the front across the front seats.
Addisyn danced very well with good posture, toe points, and confidence. It was fun to have the whole family there in the bleachers for her. Grammy and Grampy also came out and were here.
We celebrated at Sam's Town and enjoyed the indoor water show.
Deanna and James, Brooklyn, & Brett built a new pool in their backyard! Let's come up with a random excuse to hang out with our friends!
Neighborhood block party -- We hosted a block party so we could get to know our neighbors a little better and exchange more phone #s and emails. We made flyers and dropped them on doorsteps and taped it to the shared mailboxes at the entrance of our street.
Our neighbor Shoshana was going to make her specialty desert but ran out of time so she brought a cake which was a beautiful centerpiece on the buffet, saying "Neighbors Matter!" I love it. We hosted carne/pollo asada and every household brought a dish to share. We were quite impressed with the good turn out! Everyone had a great time mingling and appreciated the name tags the kids made for them.
Marissa on her Preschool field trip to see Ms. Smarty Plants at the Cuyamaca Water Conservation Garden.
Fuerte annual Patriotic Performance-- Addisyn with her group on their specialty part of the 5th grade song, and Piper with friend Jane with the 3rd grade classes.
KOA camping on Memorial wknd-- a fun time! We camped with the Grondonas and Christophersons. We rode bikes, swam, and enjoyed good company. On Saturday morning I took the girls out the the cemetery nearby to place flags with other scouts and we wound up on the local KUSI News! We turned the outside TV on at the motorhome to watch the news later in the day.
Addisyn and Piper started a gymnastics photo challenge inspired by youtubers.
